The Department of Media and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Journalism and Political Communication Divisions of NeFCA are delighted to invite you to the “Workshop: (CRRC) Comparative Research on Refugee ‘Crisis’, targeting to debate the refugee crisis (and its different discourses) and integration processes from an interdisciplinary perspective. 

Maarten Vink has been appointed Willy Brandt Guest Professor at the Malmö Institute for Studies of Migration, Diversity and Welfare (MIM) at Malmö University for the academic year 2017-2018. 

On 19-20 June 2017, Dr. Natasja Reslow of Macimide attended the informal thematic session on international cooperation and governance of migration at the United Nations in Geneva.

A large number of MACIMIDE researchers will present their work at the upcoming 14th Annual Conference of IMISCOE, Europe’s largest network of scholars in the area of migration and integration. MACIMIDE is one of IMISCOE’s 38 member institutes. The 14th Annual Conference of IMISCOE will take place in Rotterdam on June 28-30 and focus on Migration, Diversity and the City (the full program of the conference can be found here). 

Today, on the World Refugee Day, the organisations working together on the international research project NIEM have begun a social media campaign #AllInForIntegration in order to draw public attention to the need for a more efficient and effective integration policy that better addresses the needs of refugees.
