In her latest video, Melissa Siegel covers what migration aspirations are and looks into the different types of migration aspirations based on work from the MIGNEX and QuantMig projects. She is joined by special guest Jørgen Carling. 

The Journal of Refugee Studies (JRS) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal featuring original, high-quality research related to diverse aspects of forced migration. The journal is recruiting a new Associate Editor who will work with the JRS Co-Editors on the journal’s Field Reflections section.

Call for Papers: 

The Economics Department of Leiden University is pleased to announce a junior workshop focusing on “The Economic, Social and Political Effects of Migration”, which will be held Friday April 19th 2024, in the picturesque city of Leiden, the Netherlands. 

The OSUN Forum on Democracy and Development by CEU Democracy Institute (Budapest), Universidad de los Andes, (Bogotá), the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance at the University of Cape Town and the Social Scientists’ Association of Sri Lanka (Colombo) invites applications for a total of 32 open positions: six post-doctoral and two senior research fellows at each of the four institutions for an 8-month residential fellowship program between October 1, 2024, and May 30, 2025.
