The “Migrant Life Course and Legal Status Transitions” (MiLifeStatus) invites abstract submissions for a one-day workshop to be held at Maastricht University, the Netherlands, on 26 June 2020.  

The BISA working group on “International Politics of Migration, Refugees and Diaspora” welcomes paper proposals for a research workshop from postgraduate researchers in the area of international migration politics. The workshop will provide selected participants with feedback on their papers as well as career and publishing advice from the working group’s convenors. This workshop is sponsored by BISA and the University of Bath’s research group on Nationalism, Populism, and Radicalism. It will be held in the Pall Mall (London) office of the University of Bath on 21 October, 2019. Limited travel support for selected participants will be provided.

 The first ever international conference on Environmental Non-Migration provides a forum for exchange and discussion on influencing factors and capacities of individuals, households and communities to stay put despite environmental threats. The focus is on conceptual frameworks, methodologies, case studies, and cross-cutting issues. Key results will be used to derive priorities for future research considering originality and relevance. The event brings together renowned experts from relevant disciplines and different regions of the world as well as early career scientists in the PhD and postdoctoral phase of their career. Accordingly, the conference will also foster international networking taking advantage of the recently founded Global Network on Environmental Non-Migration.
