Senior Research Officer 

International Development Research, Survey and Data Management 

EDI now seeks a Senior Research Officer to work with our survey teams in the running of large-scale surveys and impact evaluations (on health, agriculture, education, infrastructure), as well as supporting our external surveybe clients in the preparation and implementation of their own research surveys on mobile technology using the surveybe software.

The Visiting Fellowship Scheme provides an opportunity for University of Melbourne faculties to engage with a range of different statelessness scholars and to expand international research collaborations. Applications are invited from researchers with an interest in statelessness – from PhD students to tenured academics – to visit the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness at Melbourne Law School between February and December 2020. Applications from non-academic visiting professionals will also be considered, if they propose an applied research project of relevance to the work of the Centre.

Overall purpose of the role 

The overall purpose of the role is to support the Mixed Migration Centre – North Africa with the publication of relevant research to inform policy and programmatic response by expanding the evidence base on mixed migration processes in the region.  The post holder plays a key role in establishing the MMC as a leading voice in migration research in the region. Under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator/Manager in Tunis, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting data analysis of emerging mixed migration trends; contributing to better use of data; assisting in carrying out research projects and contributing to regular data bulletins; providing support on data trainings, among other responsibilities. 

The National Center of Competence in Research nccr – on the move aims to enhance the understanding of contemporary phenomena related to migration and mobility in Switzerland and beyond.

On September 20 the annual MACIMIDE conference took place at the Jan van Eyck Academie. It was an inspiring conference with several  interesting workshops and panels where MACIMIDE researchers as well as researchers from other universities presented their work on migration.

There is a new 2019 version of the MACIMIDE Global Expatriate Dual Citizenship Dataset.
