CIDOB opens a call to hire a senior researcher for its area of Migrations. He/she will participate in the research related to the intersection between migrations and European integration, being involved particularly in the research projects NIEM (I) and EU IDEA (II).

INTRODUCTION 

The MMC is a leading source for independent and high-quality data, research, analysis and expertise on mixed migration. The MMC aims to increase understanding of mixed migration, to positively impact global and regional migration policies, to inform evidence-based protection responses for people on the move and to stimulate forward thinking in public and policy debates on mixed migration.

The Call for Papers for the 7th Euroacademia International Conference ‘Re-Inventing Eastern Europe – 30 Years from the Revolutions in Central and Eastern Europe’, to be held at the Anglo-American University in Prague, Czech Republic on 13^th and 14^th of December 2019 is now open. 

The successful candidate will join the new interdisciplinary LDE Center ‘Governance of Migration and Diversity’. This position provides an exciting opportunity to set up a program of research, teaching and impact activities in collaboration with senior academic staff members of the LDE Center and its constituent departments at Leiden, Delft and Erasmus University.

Job description 

The Research Officers will join the new interdisciplinary LDE Research Centre ‘Governance of Migration and Diversity’. This position provides an exciting opportunity to set up a program of research, and develop activities in collaboration with the senior academic staff of the LDE Research Centre and their departments at Leiden, Delft and Erasmus University.

There is increasing awareness that racism and discrimination hamper the opportunities to enjoy social mobility and quality of life for many immigrants and ethnic minority people. Simultaneously, while xenophobic political parties continue to gain presence across Europe, in several regions, interculturalism remains unquestioned as the dominant approach to diversity.
