NCCR on the move PostDoc Position in Neuchâtel

The recently established National Center of Competence in Research nccr – on the move aims to enhance the understanding of contemporary migration patterns. Transcending disciplines, the NCCR brings together research projects from the social sciences, economics and law. Managed by the University of Neuchâtel, the network comprises seven universities in Switzerland. To complete their research team Prof. G. D’Amato at the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies, University of Neuchâtel and Prof. C. Amarelle at the Swiss Center for Migration Law, University of Neuchâtel, are seeking a Postdoc position (80 %) for a duration of 44 to 48 months. The successful applicant will be expected to help develop and conduct an interdisciplinary comparative research project (law/social sciences) on integration policies at the cantonal level in federal Switzerland.

Post requirements: a PhD in a social science (preferably political science or sociology) or law with a good knowledge of methods and contents in the other discipline, completed no longer than four years ago, good qualitative research skills, interest for issues of integration and federalism. Demonstrated ability to publish research papers in English. Having done research on integration and federalism would be an advantage.

Working language is English. Knowledge of German, French and/or Italian will be valued as a plus. The position is based at the University of Neuchâtel. The University of Neuchâtel is an Equal
