Call for papers: Young People’s (Self-)Positioning in the World: Subjectivities, Discourses, and Inequalities
We are delighted to invite you to submit a paper proposal for the international conference “Young People’s (Self-)Positioning in the World: Subjectivities, Discourses, and Inequalities”, which will be held from September 8–10, 2026, at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.
The conference is organized by Jessica Schwittek, Alexandra König, and Katarzyna Jendrzey as part of the cooperative TraNa research project, based at the Universities of Wrocław (Poland) and Duisburg-Essen (Germany):

We warmly welcome contributions from sociology and related disciplines and invite colleagues to engage in an exchange on young people’s self-positioning in local, national, and global contexts. Please find the detailed Call for Papers attached.
Travel and accommodation costs for accepted speakers will be covered in accordance with the regulations of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
