She highlights that the number of displaced persons is at a record high as a result of a collection of crises intersecting and causing mass displacement. Many were displaced as a result of conflict, however increased extreme weather systems also made up a considerable number of displacements (and is becoming increasingly prominent); with in some instances the two converging.
