Invitation: Presentation of the EU Urban Agenda Partnership on Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees

The Egmont Institute has the pleasure to invite you for a presentation of the EU Urban Agenda Partnership on Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees

In this Partnership, different levels of governance voluntarily pool together to identify bottlenecks on policies or knowledge-development regarding the inclusion of migrants and refugees in the EU. Besides Member States and local or regional governments, European Commission services are involved, as well as a wide number of knowledge-institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders such as the EiB, the Council of Europe Development Bank and the Egmont Institute.

Please find more information here: Partnership on the Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees

This multilevel framework programme started in 2016 and is coordinated by the City of Amsterdam and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs. It addresses the challenges of integration and aims to better align policy development, knowledge exchange and implementation of policies in this field.

It currently implements a two-year action plan with 4 priority areas: inclusion and the role of disinformation; education; employment and funding

Mr. Mark Boekwijt, Amsterdam’s EU Representative and Chair of the Partnership, will present this rather unique cooperation framework and its activities, together with Ms.Aurélie Belzunces, Head of Sector for Integration and Resettlement at DG HOME, European Commission.

This discussion will take place on Thursday 2 October 2025 at 13:00 in the premises of the Egmont Institute (Rue des Petits Carmes 24A, 1000 Brussels). Online attendance will be possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact Justine Staelens at j.staelens@egmontinstitute.be about any dietary restrictions or questions you may have.
