Invitation: PhD Defence of Cecilia Schenetti – Creating and Contesting the Message – The lifecycle of EU migration information campaigns from Europe to Senegal
It is our pleasure to announce that MACIMIDE researcher Cecilia Schenetti will defend her PhD thesis entitled “Creating and contesting the message – The lifecycle of EU migration information campaigns from Europe to Senegal” on Tuesday, 16 December, at 13:00 in the Aula of Maastricht University.

Date, Time and Location of the Defence
The defence will take place on Tuesday, 16 December at 13:00 sharp in the Aula of Maastricht University, located at Mindersbroedersberg 4-6, 6211 LK Maastricht. Please arrive by 12:50 at the latest to ensure minimal disruption to the start of the proceedings.
For those of you who cannot be in Maastricht on the day of the defence, you can follow it remotely via livestream here.
Reception
The ceremony will be followed by a reception at Jan van Eyck located in Academieplein 1, 6211 KM Maastricht. Please complete the form to register for the reception by Monday, 1 December.
Gift
If any of you would like to give a gift to Cecilia, she has suggested donating to a fund supporting needy PhD students in Gaza. We are collecting these donations that will be transferred to a professor from Gaza currently in the Netherlands, with whom Cecilia is in contact, and who will ensure the funds reach the needy students in Gaza.
