This seminar will explore how migrant workers across legal statuses face common challenges in accessing and keeping work, especially through everyday scams.

On 13 and 14 November 2025, the Leuphana University Lüneburg is organizing the workshop The Role of Law and Courts in Migration Politics. 

We invite abstracts for a workshop that seeks to explore the forefront of research on the nature of migration aspirations and related concepts. That is, how can we conceptualize and empirically examine people’s thoughts and feelings about potentially migrating?
