Please find below information on the next lecture in the Jean Monnet EU Migration Law and Governance Lecture series convened by Lilian Tsourdi in the framework of a Jean Monnet Chair she holds at the Law Faculty.

On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, in cooperation with Studium Generale, ITEM organises a lecture series in which we look back at 10 years of developments in cross-border cooperation and mobility.

The next lecture in the Jean Monnet EU Migration Law and Governance Lecture series is taking place on Monday 14^th October from 15:30-17:00. It will feature Diego Acosta, Professor of European and Migration Law, University of Bristol (UK), on the theme “The Changing Global Migration Law: Free Movement Regimes and the Creation of the New Migrant“. 

Refugee Project Maastricht (RPM) has a lecture about the basics of migration this week, with guest speaker Martijn Pluim who has more than 25 years experience in migration policy. 

Refugee Project Maastricht will be hosting a lecture (in English) titled “Migrants and Refugees under International and European Law” where Felix Peerboom, a lecturer of law, will explore the legal framework that protects refugees and migrants.
