Georgina Sturge – new (and former) researcher joins UNU-MERIT

Hi everyone, I’m Georgina Sturge and I’ve just joined the migration department where I’ll be working two days a week as a Researcher. The work I’ll be doing is for the University of Oxford’s Migration Observatory, analysing data and contributing to briefings for the general public on migration policy in the UK. Some of you might remember me from 12 (?) years ago when I completed the MPP programme and worked for a year as a Research Assistant in Melissa’s department. Since then I’ve worked at the Overseas Development Institute in London and more recently at the House of Commons Library, the in-house research service to the UK Parliament. I’m also the author of two books – Bad Data and Sum of Us – and have more writing projects in the pipeline. Marriage to a Dutch person brought me back to the Netherlands – and I’m really happy to be here! Come and find me for a chat in office 0.09 on the lower ground floor of UNU MERIT, or drop me an email.
