PhD Positions

The Institute for European Global Studies at the University of Basel invites applications for two PhD positions (full time) starting immediately or according to agreement. They are part of the research project “The Divisive Power of Citizenship” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Applications can be submitted until April 24, 2019.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD positions at CISRUL

The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Department of Planning and Governance, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda and the Institute of Development Policy (IOB), University of Antwerp, Belgium, invite applications for a four-year, full-time position as Doctoral Researcher. 

The Institute of Development Policy (IOB, University Antwerp, Belgium) is opening a PhD position to be supervised from September 2019. The position should lead to a PhD in Development Studies but joint or double PhDs degrees (e.g. in economics, political sciences, …) are possible. 

The University of Vienna, Research Group IN:EX – The politics of Inclusion and Exclusion, in collaboration with Eurac Research invites applications for a PhD Position on Political Parties and Immigration.

The candidate for the PhD position should develop a research proposal for one of the following two research lines of the Migration, Diversity and Justice research cluster of the Institute for European Studies 

The research project in which the new doctoral student will be embedded focuses on how climate-related disasters affect short-term and long-term migration decisions of individuals and households.

The Center for Demographic Research (DEMO) at the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) belongs to the Institute for the Analysis of Change in Contemporary and Historical Societies (IACCHOS). DEMO, funded in 1963, is a vibrant medium-size (~ 40 researchers) research group that gathers population researchers from all over the world.
