Call for Papers

The Centre for Global Public Health and the Global Policy Institute at Queen Mary University (London) in collaboration with the Delhi University, Nepal Institute for Development Studies (NIDS), University of Edinburgh, International Organisation on Migration (IOM), UN University – International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), & Migration Health and Development Research Network (MHADRI) invite abstracts from early career researchers to participate in a South-South research collaboration & skill development workshop, to be held in Kathmandu from 25-28 April 2019. 

Request for Papers and Programmes: The Migrant Nations Initiative of the United Nations Development Programme is requesting papers or links/introductions to programmes focused on digital livelihoods for displaced people.

IOM is pleased to share a new call for abstracts for its Migration Research Series on the links between migration and technology, addressing, for instance, issues related to the use of ICT during migration journeys, the use of applications and social media throughout the migration cycle and in public debates, the implications for migration of artificial intelligence, and the use of new and emerging technologies to support digital identities.

Building on the success of the Investment Migration Seminars in 2016, 2017 and 2018, the convenors are seeking contributions to an international conference on the key economic, political and legal developments on the mobility of the wealthy and global inequality that will take place on 3 June in Geneva, Switzerland. 

The HOMInG team – a research group led by Paolo Boccagni (University of Trento) investigating the home-migration nexus – will host a mid-term symposium in Trento next June 3-4. 

DAMR seeks to actively engage with PhD researchers working on migration issues. For this aim, the DAMR board gives young researchers the opportunity to organize academic events.

The Maastricht Centre for Citizenship, Migration and Development (MACIMIDE) invites you to submit a proposal for a workshop or a paper for the MACIMIDE Annual Work Conference 2019. MACIMIDE is the Maastricht University’s interdisciplinary research platform for interfaculty collaboration in the fields of migration, mobility, citizenship, development, and family life.

The Pan-European Conference on International Studies will be held on 11-14 September in Sofia, Bulgaria. Valeria Bello(United Nations University) and Christian Kaunert (University of South Wales) wil co-chair the section “International Migration, Nationalism and International Relations” (section 24 http://www.eisapec19.org/section-list.htm).
