The doctoral seminar is organised within the framework of the Odysseus Summer School. Only those who have registered for the Summer School by paying the applicable fees are eligible to participate. 

Applications are now open for the AfOx Visiting Fellowship Programme, in collaboration with the Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) at the University of Oxford.

Focusing on Hard-to-Reach populations, the course provides an introduction to research methods in conducting research, both qualitative and quantitative, on marginal, hidden and excluded population.

Utrecht University invites applications for two PhD research positions at the Faculty of Geosciences that will investigate transnational retirement mobilities as part of the of the ERC-funded project ‘Retirement across countries: A tripartite analysis of the welfare state, family care networks, and the retirement industry (RETIREWEL).’ 

The Journal of Refugee Studies (JRS) is accepting proposals for special issues. JRS is a peer-reviewed journal featuring original, high-quality research related to diverse aspects of forced migration. We welcome proposals that engage with and significantly advance scholarly debates in the field of refugee and forced migration studies. 

In this seminar, Friedrich Poeschel will present findings from a study that examines how essential workers in Italy responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to other workers.
