Volunteer opportunities – The Hague Process (THP)

Volunteer opportunities

The Hague Process (THP) is seeking volunteers to work on the project “Business-City partnerships (Rotterdam)”.

Availability: Minimum 16 hours a week (possibility to work remotely)

Project description

Building on THP’s experiences with conducting Expert Consultations with the private sector and cities, THP identified the need to form partnerships between the private sector and cities to address migration challenges specific to the city in question.  A first pilot project is under way to incorporate such a partnership in the city of Rotterdam.  THP, the Port of Rotterdam, the City of Rotterdam, Caden Corporation, and Erasmus University are focusing on creating partnerships, or pathways of cooperation, between city government and local businesses for the purpose of improving migration and labour market outcomes in Rotterdam.  This two year project is forward looking and has a long-term focus and is being funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs amongst other donors.  As the Rotterdam project unfolds, THP will roll out a series of four other partnerships in four cities in and around Europe and use the learnings from the Rotterdam pilot.
