Welcome to Maria Vivas Romero, new MACIMIDE Junior Visiting Fellow

Photo-Vivas-Romero-CedemMaria Vivas Romero is a new MACIMIDE Junior Visiting Fellowship at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS). Maria is PhD student in Social and Political Sciences at the University of Liege (FRESH-FNRS). Her dissertation looks into how ageing migrant domestic workers’ negotiate their access social protection through formal and informal mechanisms, across and within national borders. At MACIMIDE Maria works on a project entitled Who cares for those who cared? An Ethnography on Ageing Domestic-Workers’ Transnational Negotiations for Social Protection, under the supervision of Valentina Mazzucato, MACIMIDE Theme Leader on Transnational Families. The MACIMIDE fellowship will last between 1 April 2016 and 30 June 2016.
