Vacancy: University of Edinburgh –University of Leiden Joint Funded PhD Studentship Religion and Mobility in the African City
A call for new three-year PhD scholarship has just been announced, for a project co-supervised between the University of Edinburgh Centre of African Studies (CAS) and the African Studies Centre at the University of Leiden (ASCL) to begin in September 2022.
The successful applicant will be based at the University of Edinburgh, PhD programme in African Studies, and will be co-supervised by Dr Barbara Bompani and Prof Rijk van Dijk.
This PhD position is linked to the CAS-ASCL joint doctoral programme on urban studies in Africa and the successful applicant will be expected to take part in the exchanges that this programme features together with the fellow PhD students who are already part of the programme. Supervisory meetings with both supervisors will regularly run online while there will be opportunities for in person meetings with supervisors in Edinburgh and in Leiden during mutual exchange visits.
