Vacancy: RLI – Field/Legal Researcher and Research Project Support Officer

The Refugee Law Initiative (RLI) is currently recruiting for a Field/Legal Researcher and a Research Project Support Officer to support our work on RECAP (Research capacity building and knowledge generation to support preparedness and response to humanitarian crises and epidemics project). You can view the press release here: https://rli.sas.ac.uk/about-us/news/employment-opportunities-rli-two-roles-recap

RECAP is a four-year interdisciplinary research and capacity-building project to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of responses to humanitarian crises and epidemics. The project will be delivered by a network of UK and international academic research centres and humanitarian organisations working on health and protection in humanitarian settings, including armed conflict, natural disasters, forced migration, and epidemics. It will deliver interdisciplinary research to inform and strengthen the decision-making and accountability of humanitarian agencies in acute and protracted crises. The project will also deliver research training and capacity-building, and develop a new network of regional hubs of research excellence in the UK, and locations such as Sierra Leone and Lebanon.

RECAP will contribute to the development of humanitarian guidelines, programmes and policies, in order to improve health, protection and broader development outcomes for crisis-affected populations. The RLI is a key partner in the RECAP project, and will lead research on protection and accountability.
