Vacancy: Research Fellow Migration Policy Centre

Project: MEDAM – Mercator Dialogue on Asylum and Migration

The Mercator Dialogue on Asylum and Migration (MEDAM) is a research and consultation project that aims to answer the most relevant research questions and pressing concerns of policy makers in the areas of migration and asylum. To support our work on this project, we are seeking to recruit a skilled social scientist with specialism in migration studies. The post requires advanced knowledge of quantitative methods and new techniques suitable to analyse large-scale structured and unstructured data to support policy analysis and evaluation. The project covers all stages of the migration process, including the wellbeing of migrants themselves, those left behind in migrants’ countries of origin, migrants’ integration in their countries of destination, and international cooperation in the provision of asylum and employment opportunities. The Research Fellow is expected to actively disseminate research work and findings, prepare work for publication in high-quality peer reviewed academic outlets and contribute to the work of  the Migration Policy Centre within the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies.

Application deadlines: 8 May 2017
