Vacancy: Project development consultant in gender and migration

The Migration Research and Publications Division is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to undertake a consultancy to support the Division in laying the foundations for the development of a new IOM initiative, the Gender and Migration Research Policy Action Lab – GenMigDeadline: Sunday 25 September 2022 midnight CEST.

GenMig is grounded in the continuing need to improve gender equality throughout the migration cycle by leveraging research for gender-responsive policy and programme development. The initiative intends to bridge migration research and policy spheres to support the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals and the implementation of the objectives outlined in the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.

The Consultant will need to have demonstrated expertise on gender and migration, proven experience in project development and a solid understanding of the interlinkages between research, policy and practice. The Consultant will develop a 3-yearstrategic workplan in line with GenMig’s objectives. The workplan should be strategically devised to ensure deliverables are innovative and are effective in brokering knowledge in policy circles with concrete recommendations for gender responsive actions.
