Vacancy: Communications at UNU-GCM

UNU-GCM is recruiting a Communications Consultant and a Communications Intern to contribute to the public dissemination of the Institute’s research and activities. Please find the vacancy announcements attached and see below for more information:

The Communications Consultant should be highly efficient and work well in a fast-paced and professional team environment, dealing effectively with the organisation’s communication. The right individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic Communications Consultant, who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes pride in his/her work. S/He must have a native-level proficiency in spoken and written English, be able to draft correctly and with ease, and ideally with a good command of Spanish. The ability to work closely with UNU’s Office of Communications, and to build strong links with international media, mainstream media, and, where possible, with press in Spain and in Catalonia, form important elements of this position, as is the ability to project the work of UNU-GCM internationally. An excellent command of social media is also required.

The Communications Intern will have the opportunity to engage in a number of ongoing initiatives that provide a unique window into the working processes of UNU-GCM. Under the authority of the Management Officer and the Communications Consultant, the successful candidate shall assist in the production of diverse communications materials and support the development and update of UNU-GCM’s website, social media channels, and other communications platforms.  The Intern will also assist with the translation of UNU-GCM’s information materials (English–Spanish); translation into Catalan would be an asset.
