Senior quantitative data analyst (NatCen Social Research, London)
NatCen Social Research (London, UK) is looking for talented senior quantitative data analysts to design and deliver high quality studies as part of our growing Evaluation and Analysis Team.
At the National Centre for Social Research we carry out a full programme of evaluations and a broad range of quantitative analysis projects, supporting decision makers and practitioners across the public, private and third sector to make evidence informed decisions. Working alongside our in- house policy experts on children and families, health and social care, communities, work and income, and crime and justice, you’ll need the skills and confidence to be able to advise on, design and/or conduct quantitative analysis projects.
We are looking for Research Directors and Senior Researchers with experience in designing and conducting advanced quantitative analysis in a social research context. We are interested in candidates with experience in the analysis of survey data as well as the use of administrative data. The successful candidates will have a track record of work in at least one policy area of interest to the Policy Research Centre and will be passionate about and skilled in communicating research findings to a variety of audiences. The role would suit analysts who are strong strategic thinkers, sensitive to the likely impact of their analysis and how it will be picked up by policymakers and the media. The roles involve managing junior researchers and providing training and guidance on analysis, so experience of teaching or supervision will be essential.
Across both roles, experience of writing successful proposals or grant funding applications, managing projects and line management experience is highly desirable.
