Save-the-date: 11/06.2025 – Conference EMN Netherlands ‘Labour migration towards the Netherlands and the EU: solution, challenge, or necessity?’

We are pleased to announce the conference ‘Labour migration towards the Netherlands and the EU: solution, challenge, or necessity?’ of the European Migration Network Netherlands (EMN Netherlands) on 11 June in The Hague. As the European network providing reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum in the EU, we are looking forward to sharing insights into our research on labour migration in times of labour shortages (to be published mid-June).

What to expect?
•    EMN presents the preliminary results of the EMN Study ‘Labour migration in times of labour shortages’, including a comparative analysis of labour migration policies in all participating EU Member States.
•    Policy experts from various EU Member States will present case studies into the different national approaches in their labour migration policies.
•    A panel discussion in which experts from various backgrounds reflect on recent debates regarding labour migration as a possible tool to combat labour shortages, and the effect labour migration has on society as a whole.
