Professorship/Readership in Human Geography (Population and/or Health), University of St Andrews

Professorship/Readership in Human Geography (Population and/or Health), University of St Andrews, ref.  SB1850

Following our recent excellent outcome from REF2014, the Department of Geography and Sustainable Development at St Andrews invites applications for a Professorship (or Readership) in Human Geography specializing in population and/or health research.  Our desire is to appoint an individual with outstanding research capacity, who shares our vision of undertaking world-leading research. Expertise in quantitative methods may be an advantage, but qualitative and mixed-methods researchers are also encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to engage with staff working on two large, externally-funded initiatives: the Centre for Population Change (http://www.cpc.ac.uk/) and the Census and Administrative Data Longitudinal Studies hub (http://calls.ac.uk/). They will also contribute to the Geography teaching programme as appropriate. Applications are welcome at both Professor and Readership levels. Interviews will be held on Thursday 18 June 2015. The closing date for applications is 11 May 2015.

Informal enquiries to Prof Elspeth Graham (efg@st-andrews.ac.uk) or Prof Allan Findlay (Allan.M.Findlay@st-andrews.ac.uk).
