Open call for 12 PhD students in 10 Mediterranean Universities

EuroMedMig Marie-Curie PhD Network has opened its call for 12 PhD students in 10 Mediterranean Universities and the deadline to apply is 28 February 2025.

The EuroMedMig PhD Network aims to foster a dynamic community of leading Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) specializing in migration and refugee studies within the Mediterranean region. It serves as a collaborative platform that brings together diverse methodologies, disciplines, and analytical approaches, connecting exceptional researchers from across the South, North, East, and West of the Mediterranean to ensure a multiplicity of perspectives. The network seeks to position the Mediterranean as a distinct regional framework for migration research, moving beyond generalizations and knowledge-centrism while upholding intercultural and humanitarian values as its core principles.

The call covers a broad range of themes, allowing PhD students to propose their own unique and original research ideas. It seeks groundbreaking projects that offer innovative contributions in the following areas:

Theme 1: Governance, policies and politics
⇒ Theme 2: Taxonomies of motions and drivers of migration
⇒ Theme 3: Social and cultural transformations
⇒ Theme 4: Economy and labour market
