In Prof. Siegel’s latest migration case study series focusing on Malaysia she traces the history of Migration and examines the modern policies in place. This three part series starts with a video examining the historical developments. This is followed by one examining the development of migration policy as well as the current immigration, citizenship, statelessness, asylum, diaspora and human trafficking policies as well as their link to international conventions. The final video takes a deeper dive in to the current situation in Malaysia in regard to migration taking  both regular and irregular migration into account as well as examining the source of migrants and the influence of remittances.
