The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) is the global leading think tank on international development and humanitarian issues. We aim to inspire and inform policy and practice to reduce poverty by locking together high-quality applied research and practical policy advice.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead ODI’s research on migration as part of our innovative and highly successful initiative on migration and refugees. We have a growing portfolio of work, the ambition to expand this work further and influence solutions oriented global and national debates on migration and displacement.

We are looking for a dynamic individual, a recognised expert in migration research with significant experience of leading complex research and policy engagement at national and international level, with world-class knowledge and research skills to help drive an innovative and influential research programme on one of the most important issue of our times.

You will be a recognised expert in migration and related fields, with extensive experience of leading and managing complex, multi country research programmes, with a postgraduate degree and extensive experience of policy oriented research in either economics, migration studies, demography with proven capabilities in qualitative and quantitative analysis.

This role will include leading research portfolios, policy research and advice, fundraising, project management and public affairs.
