Call for Papers: Africa at the intersection of Climate, Migration & Health challenges

November 28 & 29, 2024 @ De Krook in Ghent, Belgium

In 2024 this international symposium will be co-organised by Ghent University’s International Thematic Network CliMigHealth,  the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) and the Centre for the Social Study of Migration and Refugees (CESSMIR), which focuses on the nexus between climate change, migration and health(care),

The conference will take place in Ghent, more specifically on 28 & 29 November 2024, although online participation will be possible.

We welcome paper submissions within any of these interdisciplinary streams:

  • Climate-focused stream
  • Migration-focused stream
  • Health-focused stream
  • Governance stream
  • Stream on methodological complexities

Deadline for submission of abstracts (max. 500 words): 10 June 2024
