CfP: Central and Eastern European Migration Review (2020 and 2021)

Call for Special Issue or Special Section proposals of the Central and Eastern European Migration Review in 2020 or 2021. We would very much appreciate it if you would circulate it among your networks.

Central and Eastern European Migration Review (CEEMR) invites proposals for a Special Issue or Special Section for the years 2020 and 2021. The proposed topics should address processes and problems related to international mobility to and from Central and Eastern Europe. The dynamically changing migratory and social reality of contemporary societies and the role that the CEE region plays in these developments provide for a rich variety of topics that deserve the attention of researchers and political actors. The mission of CEEMR is to facilitate scholarly discussion on such issues.

The submission deadline is 15th May 2019. CEEMR Special Issue or Special Section proposals should be sent to:

A proposal should include:

  • a theme of the Special Issue or Special Section, its description and rationale;
  • name(s) of proposed guest editor(s);
  • a provisional list of authors, titles and abstracts (of up to 500 words) of the papers or draft call for papers;
  • a suggested timetable indicating especially the date of submitting full papers for review.

A Special Issue should contain at least 5 papers of up to 10,000 words, and a Special Section at least 3 papers of up to 10,000 words. All papers will be subject to a double-blind peer review process, and only papers that successfully go through the review process will be published.
