Call for applications: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) postdoctoral fellowship scheme (University of Helsinki)
The Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care (AgeCare) at the University of Helsinki is currently exploring the possibility of hosting a postdoctoral researcher through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme, and they’d love to hear from researchers who might be interested in joining them in Finland. If you – or someone in your network – are working on topics related to migration, ageing, or refugee studies, they’d love to hear from you.
In the MICA Research Group on Migration, Care and Ageing they have several high-quality data resources to work with:
- Longitudinal panel survey data on the well-being of older Russian speakers in Finland (CHARM https://www.helsinki.fi/en/researchgroups/care-health-and-ageing-of-russian-speaking-minority-in-finland)
- Brand new biographical interview data with older Vietnamese refugees (in Vietnamese and translated into English) (https://www.helsinki.fi/en/researchgroups/migration-care-and-ageing/life-journeys-of-vietnamese-people-in-finland)
- A planned longitudinal register-based dataset on the socioeconomic integration of Vietnamese refugees in Finland from 1990 to present.
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship provides full salary funding, along with support for mobility and research costs.
The University of Helsinki also offers training events and personalised support for writing the MSCA proposal, which can make the process smoother. The expected DL for the proposals is in September and the training events start in early May. If we find a strong match between your research interests and our work, we’d be happy to move forward with developing a joint application.
