Book launch: “The nexus between statelessness and human trafficking. The example of Thailand” – Tilburg University

On Friday 13 February 2015, Tilburg University will present the findings of a two-year research project that explored the nexus between statelessness and human trafficking. The field research focused on the hill tribe communities in Northern Thailand and was aimed to understand whether and why lack of nationality made people more vulnerable to becoming victims of trafficking. At the book launch, two of the lead researchers, Laura van Waas (statelessness) and Conny Rijken (trafficking) will outline the project’s innovative methodology and share some of the main findings and policy recommendations. We warmly invite you to attend.

This book launch will take place from 11.00 to 12.00 and is hosted by the Hague Institute for Global Justice (Sophialaan 10). Please register your attendance by lunchtime on Wednesday 11 February, by email to Laura.vanWaas@tilburguniversity.edu. Feel free to also share this invitation with anyone in your network who may also be interested to attend.
