Successful 11th MACIMIDE Annual Conference with a keynote from Prof. Tineke Strik

On 23 September 2024, UNU-MERIT hosted the eleventh Maastricht Center for Citizenship, Migration and Development (MACIMIDE) Annual Work Conference at UNU-MERIT, in collaboration with Studio Europa Maastricht.   Experts from across Maastricht University working in the fields of migration, mobility, citizenship and development came to present and discuss their work, and we were honoured to hear from keynote guest speaker Professor Tineke Strik (Member of the European Parliament for GroenLinks, and Professor of Citizenship and Migration Law at Radboud University) about her take on the challenges and implications of the EU’s new Pact on Migration and Asylum.
