CfP: Human capital and regional development

On June 16th and 17th, 2017 the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (www.roa.nl) at Maastricht University organises a workshop devoted to the topic of Human capital and regional development. This mini-conference is organised in collaboration with Neimed, Dutch Centre of Expertise on Demographic Change (www.neimed.nl), Zuyd University of Applied Sciences (www.zuyd.nl) and the Institute for Transnational and Euregional cross border cooperation and Mobility (www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/item).

We would like to invite you to present a paper related to this topic. The following themes are considered to be interesting examples for the mini-conference on Human capital and regional development and may inspire you to submit a paper:

  • Brain drain and inland mobility
  • Demographic shrinkage, innovation and regional investment policies
  • Resilient regions
  • Regional educational infrastructure and growth
  • Vocational education and regional labour markets

  • Euregional labour markets and social capital
  • Cross-border mobility
