5 October: Seminar FreSsco (with ITEM members) – ‘Coordination of Family Benefits and Student Financial Aid Systems – Recent Developments and Practice’ (Engels)

On Monday 5 October ITEM-members Saskia Klosse and Anne Pieter van der Mei together with FreSsco (an EC-funded network of independent experts from 32 European countries on issues involving free movement of workers and social security coordination) will organize a seminar in Maastricht entitled:

Coordination of Family Benefits and Student Financial Aid Systems – Recent Developments and Practice

The seminar (from 10.00 – 18.00) covers recent developments in the case law of the EU Court of Justice on family benefits, student financial aid and social tax advantages for (studying) children and considers what the implications are for national practice and national policy makers. In addition, the seminar addresses questions on how the rules for each of these benefits/advantages relate to each other and how conflicts between them and possible problems of overlap should be tackled.

Provisional programme: pdf.

Location: StayOkay, Maasboulevard 101, 6211 JW Maastricht (10.00 – 18.00)

You are kindly invited to attend the seminar and to join the discussions. Participation is free of charge. If you are interested, please register here! Please note that only a limited number of places are available.
