Summary:
The Department of Politics is pleased to offer a three-year Research Fellowship in the area of the Politics of International Migration. This exciting post-doctoral opportunity is open to applicants offering an innovative research agenda on relevant themes, and we welcome empirical interests in any part of the world.
You will be part of a growing team of academic staff in the Department and wider Faculty working on the theme of migration. While pursuing your post-doctoral research project, you will also engage actively with a major initiative on the Prospects for International Migration Governance (MIGPROSP), led by Professor Andrew Geddes and supported by a prestigious Advanced Investigator Grant from the European Research Council. Details of this initiative can be found at www.migrationgovernance.org.
You will have or be very near to completing a doctoral degree in Political Science or International Relations, or a closely related area, preferably applied to international migration. You will also have a strong background in international research and excellent presentation skills. Applications should include a detailed proposal for the post-doctoral research project that you would pursue during the course of the Fellowship, which should extend to no more than three sides of A4 paper, as well as a full CV.
