16/06/2017 Seminar on EU Citizenship and Expulsion
On the 16th of June Radboud University Nijmegen is organizing an event on the topic of EU citizenship and expulsion. This seminar will explore the legal practice of expelling EU citizens from a host EU state in light of EU law and fundamental rights standards. It will focus on how EU law frames the possibility to expel EU citizens and the types of limitations that are placed upon national states when trying to make use of expulsion to deal with criminal or poor EU citizens. The seminar is part of an ongoing project looking into expulsion practices in the EU that seeks to advance our knowledge of state practices and their impact upon the notion of EU citizenship as fundamental status. There are no participation fees but we kindly ask interested researchers to register by sending an email to s.mantu@jur.ru.nl. More information can be found in the attachment.
