Migration is shaping societies and policies worldwide—how are attitudes evolving? What drives polarisation on this issue? How are governments responding, and what does the future hold for Ukrainian refugees in Europe?

This workshop brings together top researchers to tackle these pressing questions through three focused panels:

  • Public perceptions & polarisation – How moral values, fairness, and discourse shape migration attitudes
  • Migration policy analysis – Do leaders follow through on their immigration promises?
  • Ukrainian refugee migration – Intentions to return, labour market integration, and policy responses across Europe
