01/06/2022 – IOM Launch Event: The impact of Covid-19 on migration from a gender perspective

IOM Research is pleased to invite you to the launch of a new research publication on “The impacts of COVID-19 on migration and migrants from a gender perspective”, produced with the support of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. The launch will feature welcome remarks by Ugochi Daniels (IOM Deputy Director General for Operations) and introductory remarks by Stephanie Leung (Director, International Migration Policy, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada). Moderated by Marie McAuliffe (Head of the Migration Research and Publications Division at IOM), the event will also include a panel discussion with Céline Bauloz (Head of the Migration Research Unit at IOM), Denise Spitzer (Professor, University of Alberta), Roberto Ariel Abeldaño Zuñiga (Professor, Universidad de Sierra Sur), Andrea Kvietok Dueñas (Research Consultant, Universidad del Pacífico) and John Bosco Nizeimana (Senior Research Analyst, The Africa Centre for Strategic Progress). The discussant will be Jenna Hennebry (Associate Professor, Balsillie School of International Affairs). Eva Åkerman Börje (Director of Department of Policy and Research at IOM) will provide concluding remarks.
